The Haryana Corporate Sustainability Council (CSC), WICCI,partnered with Red Roses Public School, Palam Vihar, to sensitize students about Mental Health Wellness to foster their emotional well-being.
In recognition of the pressing need to address mental healthchallenges among youth, the Corporate Sustainability Council (CSC) organized a talk by Chumki Bose, Chief Psychologist of Mind Tribe. Mrs Bose addressed two groups of students from grades 6th to 8th and 9th to 12th and shared how to deal with bullying, self-esteem, exams, and other external pressures. The talks were highly interactive, with students sharing their anxieties and doing role plays. The teachers also actively participated in easing the students shyness.

The program had a clear aim, to make mental health a naturalexpression instead of a taboo. The objective was to equip students with fear and stress management techniques and mindfulness practices, empowering them to recognize the symptoms and overcome their stresses. This shift in perspective is crucial in fostering a healthier and more resilient generation.

Mrs. Ritu Bedi, Principal of Red Roses Public School,supported this initiative and shared that the school had a Psychologist on board, and such an event would further help students to open up and take
counseling support when required. “We are delighted to collaborate with Red Roses Public School on this important initiative.”
Said Sonali Dutta, National President of the CorporateSustainability Council, WICCI. “Empowering children with the tools to navigate their mental health journey fosters a generation capable of overcoming any challenge and thriving in a world of endless possibilities.”

The Mental Health Wellness Program aligns with theCSC's broader mission to promote sustainability and social impact within the community. By prioritizing mental health education and support, the program aims to create a positive and inclusive environment where students feel
empowered to seek help and support when needed. “We believe that investing in mental health is essential for building a thriving and resilient community”, added Dutta . “Through this program, we hope to inspire other Schools and Corporates to prioritize mental wellness and contribute to creating a more compassionate and supportive society.”

The program was spearheaded by Mrs Anju Malik, Haryana StatePresident, CSC, and supported by Mrs. Monika Kumria and Mrs. Sangeeta Nayyar, members CSC , WICCI , who were also present at the event to show their support. Believing that Mental Health Wellness is at par with Physical Health Wellness, Anju believes, “By investing in the mental well-being of our youth, we are striving to nurture a healthier and more resilient generation. Prioritizing mental wellness in our youth is not just a moral imperative but an investment for a brighter and more resilient future for our society.
Mr. Pranab Saikia, Founder of Hiranmoyee India Foundationpresent at the event, as a tall and motivating patron, also spoke a few words about how compassion and backing given to the widowed mothers of Vrindavan by the young children could help in sustaining Mental Health Wellness in the children too.
