Under the aegis of Ek Udaan Kalyani Charitable Foundation, District Red Cross Society, Para Olympic Committee and able guidance of Deputy Commissioner Gurugram Nishant Kumar Yadav, Additional Deputy Commissioner Vishram Kumar Meena, 60 Physically handicapped persons were given motorized scooters on 16th Feb in a solemn function held at Tau Devilal Stadium Gurugram.
“For me, it is like a dream comes true. I was very frustrated for the last few years due to my deformity. I tried to get one such motorised scooter. But could not afford it due to the high price. But thanks to the Angel-like people of Ek Uddan Kalyani Charitable Foundation and Red Cross Society, I got this motorised scooter. My hope has increased in life, I can prove to myself that I too like normal people and work like them,” said one of the recipients anonymously.
Kalyani Sachan, director of Odaan NGO handed over these scooters to the Physically handicapped. “We are very happy to help these 60 Physically handicapped persons. Now, these disabled will not require to pull the tricycle with their hands and take help from others. We are always trying to help people with physical deformities and efforts will be made to provide such scooters to the disabled in future also,” said Kalyani Sachan.
Vikas Kumar, Secretary Red Cross said, “Under the CSR initiative Mobis and Neo Motion donated these scooters. It will greatly help these Physically handicapped people in their movement and can do any work they want to do like a normal person.”
“We endeavour to do something in the interest of the society and the country. Society gives us a lot and in return, we have to give back something to society,” said a spokperson of of Mobis and Neo Motion
Kalyani Sachan thanked Deputy Commissioner Nishant Kumar Yadav, Additional Deputy Commissioner Vishram Meena and Tau Devi Lal Stadium Manager Vijay Malik, who helped in making complete arrangements in a short time. Present on the occasion were Devarshi Sachan, Atul Parashar, and Kavita Sarkar to name a few.
