On the occasion of Foundation Day of Hiranmoyee India Foundation Faridabad, based Industrialist and Philanthropist MK Jain-of Mahavir International & businessman Baburam Jindal visited widow mothers of RadhaKund Vrindavan and sponsored the food and morning snacks of 170 packets dalia to these widow mothers.
Hiranmoyee India Foundation celebrates its Foundation Day on 19 September every year. It is also the Birthday of Pranab Saikia, the founder of Trust. Both MK Jain-of Mahavir & Baburam Jindal were welcomed with traditional Gamosa of Assam and blessings of the widow mothers. They also participated in the food distribution drive.
“The Widows of Vrindavan are always ignored by the mainstream people of the country. They are chased away by their family members and their property is usurped by their relatives. The widow mothers are living in extreme poverty and we are happy to help them. We would like to help them in future also,” said MK Jain of Mahavir International.
The guests also participated in the food distribution drive and cake-cutting ceremony. All the widow mothers showered their blessings to MK Jain and Baburam Jindal. “We are very happy to be here. The widow mothers need our love and compassion from all. They are living in abject poverty,” said Baburam Jindal.
“We are providing them with free food. In our Annapurna Kitchen located at Radha Kund, we are feeding widow mothers free of lunch. They have to live on begging and suffering from malnutrition. For the last two years, we have been regularly feeding these widow mothers. We aim to stop these widows from entering the begging profession. Almost 99 per cent of widows are evicted from their homes and their property is seized by relatives and in-laws. To survive, they have taken up the begging profession. Most of them live in unhygienic conditions in the backyard of any temple, near their gosala or in rented dingy rooms of residents—brajbasi,” said Pranab Saikia.
“Every Sunday, we feed more than 200 widowed mothers. We have rented a two-room setup. We have complete kitchen facilities where we can cook food for more than three hundred people. Besides food items, we also provide different essential items. We donate them clothes, woollen sweaters, blankets, socks, utensils, buckets, and, of course, dry rations.” added Saikia.
Hiranmoyee India Foundation is a non-profit, non-government registered NGO having a Pan Card, 80G, and 12 A Certificates and a bank account. The NGO was established in the year 2018 with a noble vision to look after the poorest of the poor living in far-off areas of different parts of India. Presently, the NGO has been focusing on improving the living conditions of the widow mothers of Vrindavan, especially those living in the Radha Kund areas in Goverdhan.
