Gurgaon Laughter Club supported by Artemis Hospital Gurgaon celebrated World Diabetes Day on Nov19th coupled with a musical extravaganza by some popular musical groups of Delhi/NCR. The evening started with Lamp lighting By Artemis Hospital Doctors and office Bearers of the Gurgaon Laughter Club.
Then Dr Kapoor of Artemis Hospital presented a wonderful informative lecture about Diabetes Myths and Facts. It was an interactive session with active participation from enthusiastic audiences. Lots of questions were raised from the audience which were duly responded by the Doctor. The doctor session was brought to a close by the doctor appropriately humming two lines of a popular R D Burman song.
The musical programme continued with performances from the members of M L Foundations Shri Events M4U Retro Music and RJ Foundations. Most of the singers were professional singers and consequently, the audience was expecting some mesmerizing songs which they duly got.
The musical show was initiated by Mr Vinod Khanna of M L Foundations who sang the theme song of Gurgaon Laughter Club Kisi ki Muskurahoto Par. The popular number of Mukesh was liked extremely by the audiences who showed their appreciation by dancing to the rhythm of the song.
This was followed by an evergreen song of Asha from the Movie waqt Aghe bhi Jaane na tu by Bhuvana Jaikumar and a song from padosan kehna hai of Kishore sung by Murali Narayanan. Both Murali and Bhuvana come with a degree of pedigree and they simply justified their status by providing outstanding classy songs. In the whole show.
Next Suman Chawla sang a song from the Movie Khandaan Tumi Mere Devta ho. This was followed by Ravi Joshi who sang a very popular Rafi number Aise tho na dekho from Teen Deviyaan.
Both sang to a nicety and were well appreciated. Then it was the turn of Gurgaon Laughter club President to enthral the audience which he did with the popular Rafi Number Pukarta chala hoo Main. All the audience again danced to his tunes and it was nice to see the appreciative audience responding so animatedly.
All the singers repeated their turn by singing some very popular songs of Lata, Manna Dey, Geeta Dutt, Hemant Kumar, Kishore, Rafi, Mukesh and Asha.
The show was brought to a close by a Vote of Thanks from Secretary Gurgaon Laughter club followed by a delicious sumptuous dinner provided by Artemis Hospital.
