Gurugram: The 77th historic National Day celebration was organized on Saturday at John Hall, Cyber City Gurugram. Hundreds of people from NCR's Faridabad, Gurugram, Rewari, Mahendragarh, Narnaul including Nuhu, Ferozepur Jhirka and Panipat paid floral tributes to the national flag and congratulated on Tricolor Day. At the same time, all the people demanded that government should declare July 22 as NationalFlag Day as proposed by former DGP Mr. Sheel Madhur.
Addressing the gathering, program coordinator and former DGP Mr. Sheel Madhur said that it is a matter of great pleasure for us that today we have gathered to pay respect to the national flag. Highlighting the three colors of the national flag and the Ashok Chakra, he called it the most
beautiful and inspirational national flag of the whole world.
Madhur started the Har Dil Tiranga campaign to imbibe the inspiration and spirit of the tricolor in every individual. Also gave a new slogan of Jai Tiranga with Jai Hind to the Tiranga supporters. While making the people aware about the maintenance of the national flag, he said that he along with his team has been campaigning to declare National Flag Day under thebanner of Sadar India from the last almost 3 years.
During this, he also took tours to Jantar Mantar and Red Fortin the year 2021. Which got the public support of lakhs of people. The Har Har Tiranga, Ghar Ghar Tiranga campaign started by him was adopted by the government as Har Ghar Tiranga on 15 August 2022. At the same time, Mr. Madhur
called upon the people present to celebrate the birthday of the national flag with the family at their home.
Gurugram Police Commissioner Kala Ramachandran, former editorRajkumar Singh, former member of State Human Rights Commission JS Ahlawat, Vice Chancellor Dr. Ashok Diwakar, comic poet Hulchul Haryanvi, consumer court member and writer Mukesh Sharma also bowed down to the national flag while registering their presence in this programme.
Hundreds of representatives of many organizations includingSammi Ahlawat, OP Mehra, Shamsher Dagar, Zafaruddin, Aslam Gorwal, OK Mishra, AS Mishra, Chhote Lal, Sadar India, Tiranga Sena were present in this program conducted by comedian Alok Bhandoria.
