Faridabad: The Teacher's Day program 2023 was celebrated in a solemn function at Sai Dham located in Sector 86 Faridabad. Like every year, thisyear teachers from 11 different schools of Faridabad, who have done excellent work in the field of education, were honoured with the Sai Dham Gyan Award.
At the beginning of thisprogram, Chief Guest Upma Arora, District Development and Panchayat Officer,
Palwal and Dr. Rashmi Chawla Associate Professor, JC Bose University, Faridabad were honored by giving Baba's Angavastra and Sai Statue. Praising the public welfare work being done by Sai Dham, Upma Arora said that today's society needs institutions like Sai Dham. Sai Dham is not only educating its students but also equipping them with values. Pointing to Dr Motilal Gupta, the founder and president of Sai Dham, said that Babuji's life is a source of inspiration for all of us.
In the programme,colourful programs were presented by the children of Shirdi Sai Baba School which enthralled everyone. Dr. Rashmi Chawla, who came from JC Bose University, after seeing the children's program, said that the children of Sai Dham are no less than the children of any reputed public school. If they get the right guidance, these children will set new records.
It is noteworthy that in India, the birthday of Dr. Sarvepallo Radhakrishnan 5 Sept is celebrated
as Teacher's Day. But in Sai Dham, the co-founder Late Kanta Gupta's birthday is celebrated as Teacher's Day on 3rd September. On this day the best teachers of Faridabad are honored with Sai Dham Gyan Puraskar. This year Neha Pandey from Delhi Public School, Shivani Chadha from DAV Public School Sector 37, Shyam Sundar Shastri from DC Model School, Sangeeta Roy from DAV Public School, NH 3, Meenakshi Kumar from Modern School Sector 17, Nikita from DAV School, Sector 14. Verma, Pratima Srivastava from Modern School Sector 85, Taruna Saini from Vrinda International School, Deepika Yadav from Scholar Pride School, Monica Shore from Rawal International School and Vidhushi Madan from Shirdi Sai Baba School were given the Sai Dham Gyan Award.
Congratulating all theteachers who received the award, Dr Motilal Gupta said that teachers are the foundation of society. It is through their efforts that the country becomes strong and new generations become stronger. In the programme, C K Mishra, retired from ONGC, gave prizes of Rs 5100, 3100 and 2100 respectively to the children who stood first, second and third in class 10.
Principal Binu Sharma and Rotarian Sandeep Singhal thanked all the dignitaries who had come. Azad ShivamDixit coordinated the program smoothly. Sandeep Gupta, Poonam Gupta, Pradeep Singhal, Vijay Laxmi, Luv Vij, Rashmi Mishra, US Aggarwal, Virender Mehta, PP Pasarija, Manohar Punyani, Anita Amar Vikas Malhotra etc participated in the
program.
