Amarjeet Singh is the man behind leading Sarbat Da Bhala Charitable Trust which is dedicated to the social-economic transformation of the weaker section of the society.
Amarjeet Singh is the man behind rescuing thousands of COVID Patients from different Covid affected areas of Delhi NCR. He used to take the patients in his car to the hospital and carry the dead ones to the crematorium for last rites. “I was happy in my profession, but Covid-19 was an eye-opener for me and
I realised for the first time there is no greater service than humanitarian work,” said Amarjeet Singh.
After Covid, Amarjeet started his school in the corner of a park. Butlater on, shifted to the ground floor of my own house. From here we started the school. Looking at my effort and determination lots of people have joined our NGO as a volunteer.” Said Amarjeet Singh.
Amarjeet Singh has been running a school for the children of thelabours working in different construction sites of Gurgaon, especially in the New Palam Vihar area of Gurgaon. More than 50 students regularly attend the classes of Amamrjeet in the last two years.
Recently the trust has got one vehicle to collect the household garbagestaff from the colony Khalsaaid International from London has donated one vehicle and our NGO volunteer has been collecting the old staff from the different households of Gurgaon.
“Most of the children are from the labour class and they don’tget admission in Government schools are their parents are migrating from one area states to another state in search of livelihood. Here in our school, we educate them as per the school curriculum and these children are doing well. All the children are doing well in Maths, Science, English, Social Studies and Drawing and Painting. Every month we also organize Parents Teachers Meeting where we make the parents aware of the importance of education,” said Satnam Kaur, the teacher who has been teaching the students as a volunteering
activity.
All the kids in the age group of 6-12 are very happy to get a space forstudying. “I have to stay empty stomach at home but here I am getting both food and education,” said Vivek, a student of the school.
Amarjeet’s trust is also helping other NGOs. Recently they donated ahuge quantity of old clothes and toys to students of Max Vision NGO. They have also donated clothes to the Hiranmoyee India Foundation for widow mothers of Radhakund Vrindavan.
Now Amarjeet and his team of volunteers looking for land to build apermanent school for these underprivileged kids and help them in their education in a big way. His two children have also joined in his mission and they are helping the kids in their education.
