Residents of Salcon Verandas celebrated the grand Ratha Yatraof Lord Jagannath, Balbhadra and Subhadra on 12th July 2024 at their condominium with great pomp and fervour.
“All our residents celebrated the occasion with greatenthusiasm. We are very grateful to all our residents of Salcon Verandas for coming forward wholeheartedly to participate in the Ratha Yatra. The quantum of
people joining the Yatra was much more than expected. The environment was surreal with excitement and echo of the divine chants. For that, I would like to convey my gratitude to the residents, Yatra organizer and ISKCON Badshapur Temple Gurugram.
We look forward to such celebration in our condominium infuture,” says Madhukar Kapur President of RWA Varandas.
“First we are very thankful to all the residents forparticipating in the Ratha Yatra. Thoughthis is the first Ratha Yatra in Salcon Varandas all residents participated here with great enthusiasm and eagerness. Everything went perfectly,” says Rambhadra Das, President of Badshahpur Temple
“Residents came to welcome the Lord with Puja Thali and Sweets. From kids to adults all took part in the event,” says Geeta Suri, in charge of the cultural committee of the RWA of the Condominium.
We were expecting 300 to 400 people but around 600 people took Prasadam and there was no shortage of Prasadam,” says Ravinder Kumar Pathela, Resident organiser and Senior Devotee
“It will remain as one of the most memorable moments in ourfestive calendar in this year. I have no words to express the joys of this celebration,” says Renu Manektala one of the residents of Salacon Varandas.
There were more than 100 bhoga offerings to Lord Jagannath,Balbhadra and Subhadra. Residents felt honoured to have darshan of exalted devotee like HH Chaitanya Swami Maharaj of ISKCON along with other senior devotees and members of the Badshshpur Temple Sector 45 temple.
The Ratha yatra of Lord Jagannath owes its origin to Puri inOrissa. The Brahmanda Puran says whoever even sees the Ratha of Lord Jagannath, all his sins are wiped out and they get spiritual bliss, and active
participation just redoubles the benefit.
