Kaishogun Martial Arts Sports Welfare Academy conducted theKarate Color Belt Test recently at Tau Devilal Park Sector 21, Gurugram.
Participants belonging to poor families took part in thisprogram. College girls Miss Sweety and Miss Suchita performed very well and got promoted to Orange Belt. In the boys' section, Shanwaz Khan and Mantu Kumar displayedgood basic techniques, kicks and katas and were awarded orange belts.
Another student Dheeraj Kumar was promoted to Yellow Belt andAjit Kumar to Blue Belt. The entire belt test was conducted under the supervision of Zen Master Sumit Virman, who is very experienced in this field over a long period of time. Other coaches Alam and Rohit Bhardwaj, who recently joined the Kaishogun Martial Arts Academy, were also present.
Sweety and Suchita displayed excellent kumite fighting skills and self-defense techniques. Sumit Virman said, "nowadays it is very important to learn karate especially for women." He has always shown support for the poor and underprivileged students.
